Terms of use
Last updated 28 July 2026.
These terms are a contract between you and Sideline Analytics Ltd. They govern your use of the Sideline Quant website and service. Please read them before you use the service or buy a plan. By using Sideline Quant you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, please do not use the service.
1. Who we are
Sideline Quant is a trading name of Sideline Analytics Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 17367597, with its registered office at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
You can contact us at any time at support@sidelinequant.com. We will normally reply within five working days.
2. What the service is
Sideline Quant is a research and analysis tool for Fantasy Premier League managers. It publishes statistical model outputs — expected points, probability distributions, fixture ratings, historical backtests — and turns them into suggested squads, transfers, captain choices and chip timings.
Everything the service produces is a model estimate. It is information, not advice, and not a prediction of what will happen. We do not guarantee any rank, points total, return, or outcome of any kind, and past model performance shown on our Performance page does not guarantee future performance. Decisions you make in your Fantasy Premier League team are yours.
The service is not betting or gambling advice and is not intended for use in connection with betting. If you choose to use our outputs in that way you do so entirely at your own risk and at your own responsibility for complying with the law where you live.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, and at least 18 years old to buy a paid plan. By buying a paid plan you confirm you are 18 or over and legally able to enter into this contract.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Accounts are for one person — please do not share your login. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
You do not need an account to use the free, public parts of the service.
4. Plans, prices and payment
We offer a free tier and paid plans. Current plans and prices are shown on our Pricing page. At the date of these terms:
- Pro Monthly — £3.99 per month. A rolling subscription that renews automatically each month until you cancel.
- Season Pass — £25 one-off. A single payment granting Pro access for the stated season, ending 30 June 2027. It does not auto-renew.
Prices are in pounds sterling and are the total you pay. We are not currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged. If we become VAT registered we will tell you before any VAT-inclusive price change takes effect.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details. Your payment is also subject to Stripe’s own terms.
Renewals and price changes. Pro Monthly renews automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before any price increase affecting your subscription, and you may cancel before it takes effect. A price change never applies retrospectively to a Season Pass you have already bought.
Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails we may retry it and will email you. If it remains unpaid we may suspend Pro features until payment succeeds, and ultimately cancel the subscription. Your account and saved data are not deleted for non-payment.
5. Your right to cancel (14-day cooling-off)
Because you are buying digital services online, you normally have a legal right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 to cancel within 14 days of buying, and to receive a refund.
If you ask us to start providing the service immediately during that 14-day period, we will ask you to acknowledge at checkout that you want it to start now and that you understand you lose the right to cancel once the service has been fully performed. Where you have started using the service but not fully consumed it, we may deduct a proportionate amount for what you have used before refunding the balance.
To cancel, just email support@sidelinequant.com within 14 days. You do not need to give a reason. We will refund you using the same payment method within 14 days of accepting the cancellation.
Cancelling an ongoing subscription. Separately from the cooling-off right, you can cancel Pro Monthly at any time from the billing portal in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; you keep Pro access until then, and you are not charged again.
6. Refunds and service interruption
Beyond your statutory rights, we offer a specific commitment about our data source. Sideline Quant depends on the unofficial Fantasy Premier League data feed, which we do not control.
If that data source becomes unavailable for more than two consecutive gameweeks, Season Pass holders may request a pro-rata refund covering the remaining gameweeks of the season. Contact support and we will calculate and pay it.
If the service is significantly degraded for an extended period for any other reason, contact us — we would rather resolve it fairly than argue about it. Nothing here limits your statutory rights under section 7 below.
7. Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content and services we supply must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality. If they are not, you may be entitled to a repair, a replacement, or a price reduction.
For more information about your rights, contact your local Citizens Advice or Trading Standards office.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape, crawl, bulk-download or systematically extract data from the service, or use automated means to access it beyond normal personal use;
- resell, redistribute, sublicense or publish our model outputs as your own product or data feed;
- share a paid account with others, or circumvent tier limits, rate limits or access controls;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, its infrastructure, or another user’s account;
- interfere with or place unreasonable load on the service, or use it in a way that disrupts other users;
- use the service unlawfully, or to infringe anyone else’s rights.
Commercial use requires our written permission. The service and its data are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not use any part of the service, our model outputs, or data extracted from them for a commercial purpose without our prior written agreement. Commercial purposes include, but are not limited to: incorporating our data into another product, service, newsletter, app or tool, whether free or paid; using it to provide paid tips, advice or consultancy; using it in connection with betting, trading or any commercial gambling activity; monetised publication or broadcast built substantially on our outputs; and using it to train, fine-tune or evaluate any machine learning or AI model.
We are open to commercial arrangements — if you want to use our data in a product, publication or research project, email support@sidelinequant.com and ask. Permission that we give is specific to what we agree in writing and is not a general right.
What you may always do. Use our outputs however you like for your own Fantasy Premier League decisions. Share them privately with friends or your mini-league. Quote or screenshot modest excerpts publicly — including in monetised content such as a blog, stream or video — provided you attribute them to Sideline Quant, link back where the format allows, and do not reproduce our data so extensively that your content substitutes for using the service itself.
9. Intellectual property
The service, including the models, code, written analysis, design and branding, belongs to Sideline Analytics Ltd or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes while these terms apply. No other rights are granted.
Database rights. Our predictions, ratings, backtests and derived datasets are compiled through substantial investment in obtaining, verifying and presenting their contents. We assert database right in them under the Copyright and Rights in Databases Regulations 1997. Extracting or reusing all or a substantial part of any of our datasets — including by repeated extraction of insubstantial parts — without our permission infringes that right, whether or not you have accepted these terms.
Content you provide — your Fantasy Premier League Team ID, saved drafts, preferences — remains yours. You grant us the limited licence needed to store and process it in order to provide the service to you.
10. Third-party data and no affiliation
Sideline Quant is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Premier League, Fantasy Premier League, or any football club. We do not use official Premier League or Fantasy Premier League trademarks in paid marketing. All club and competition names are used descriptively and remain the property of their owners.
The service draws on third-party sources including the public Fantasy Premier League API, publicly archived historical data, football-data.co.uk and a commercial odds provider. We do not control these sources and cannot guarantee their accuracy, completeness or continued availability.
11. Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep the service available and current, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may carry out maintenance, and we may change, improve or withdraw features as the product develops.
If we make a change that materially reduces what a paid plan provides, we will tell you by email and you may cancel and receive a proportionate refund for the unused remainder of your plan.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time and can delete your account from your account page.
We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms — particularly the acceptable-use rules in section 8. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put things right. If we end your paid plan for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the unused portion.
13. Our liability to you
We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for any of your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable at the time you entered into this contract, or for business losses — the service is provided for personal, non-commercial use, and we have no liability for loss of profit, business, or opportunity.
In particular, and because this is the whole nature of the product: we are not liable for the outcome of Fantasy Premier League decisions you make using our model outputs, including points scored, rank achieved, or prizes or leagues won or lost.
Where we are liable, our total liability to you for all claims connected with the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) £100.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms — for example to reflect changes to the product, our pricing, or the law. The “last updated” date at the top always shows the current version.
If a change materially affects your rights and you have a paid plan, we will give you reasonable notice by email before it takes effect, and you may cancel and receive a proportionate refund if you do not accept it. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
15. Complaints and disputes
If something has gone wrong, please email support@sidelinequant.com first — most problems are quickest to fix directly. We will acknowledge your complaint within five working days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own courts, and you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
16. General
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not immediately enforce a right, that does not mean we have given it up. We may transfer this contract to another business, and will tell you if we do; your rights will not be reduced. Nobody other than you and us has any rights under this contract.
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about the service.
